Vincent Anthony Paladino passed away peacefully at home at the age of 89 on Monday, June 21, 2021. He is survived by his children, Christina Monahan of Sturbridge, MA; Luanne Daly and her husband John, of Worcester, MA; Deanna Webber of Dover, NH; Suzanne Paladino-Lussier of Barre, MA; and Jody Paladino-Concha of Columbia, SC. Vincent is also survived by his ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

The youngest of twelve brothers and sisters, Vincent was born in Worcester, MA to Salvatore and Margrette (Fannelli) Paladino. From a young age, Vinny exhibited a hardworking and entrepreneurial spirit. He started by shining shoes at Union Station, in Worcester to help support his family and widowed mother. It wasn’t long before a regular client recognized Vinny’s potential and enlisted him in the plaster trade. Within a few years he earned the title of Master Plasterer and Carpenter, as well as created and co-managed his own company, Paul and Vin’s Plastering. Some of his most notable work included commissions from the Worcester Historical Museum as well as several historic homes and buildings in the Worcester and Cape Cod areas. His family also had the pride and joy of spending time and making many happy memories in the homes that he built and lived in.

Living a full and interesting life extended to the many hobbies Vinny maintained over the years, and even the new ones he discovered during retirement. He was a car aficionado, talented dancer, bowler, and card game champion. Oftentimes, after a big family meal or a visit with friends, Vinny would set up the cribbage board. This complicated game of strategy and wit would be peppered with his colorful and well-timed teasing that made everyone laugh. After the passing of his beloved wife, Shirley, Vinny stepped into the kitchen to try his hand at baking apple pies and Italian dishes.

Perhaps the greatest contribution of all was his involvement and dedication to his family and the Dennis Senior Center. The love he gave to those in his life shone through in both his words and his deeds.

The family wishes to thank the dedicated workers at the VNA of Cape Cod for their kindness to our father and our family.

A private Mass is scheduled at Our Lady of the Cape, RC Church. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Dennis Senior Center and Council On Aging, 1045 MA-134, South Dennis, MA 02660.
