Frederick "Freddie" Richard Sears
Jun 21st, 2021
East Dennis, MA: Frederick “Freddie” Richard Sears passed away on September 5, 2020 in Lima, Peru at the age of 89. He was the son of the late Percival and Clarice Graham (Jones) Sears. He is survived by his wife, Alixe,
his sister, Phyllis, his brother, John and his children, Russell, Richard, Alice and Sandra and his grandchildren, Isabella and Knyvet.
Freddie was a true patriot, an explorer and risk taker, a storyteller, go- getter, and
fixer. He was proactive, adventurous, creative, resourceful and would never give up in finding solutions to adverse situations. He was an avid reader and animal lover, who enjoyed the outdoors, camping, gardening, fishing and boating. He
valued and cared for his family and friends and loved hosting lunches at his house and farm. He had an uncanny ease of befriending total strangers.
His travels took him from Massachusetts to England, Arizona, Indiana and Peru. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict, where he was unfortunately wounded by friendly fire. Following his lengthy recovery and service as a lab technician in a MASH unit, Freddie returned to Peru where he became a cotton farmer, mushroom grower and restaurant owner. He then retired
to a beach development.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on July 3 at 12:00
O’Clock Noon in Quivet Cemetery, South St., East Dennis, MA.
For those who knew him he will be dearly missed and we will be forever grateful for his love, guidance and contributions to our lives.
