Constance A. Walker

Constance A. Walker (O'Brien), 80, of South Yarmouth, died peacefully at home with her children and loved ones by her side, Sunday May 9, 2021, following a brief battle with glioblastoma. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert C. Walker, with whom she shared almost 50 years of marriage.
Born in Brockton, she was the only child of John J. and Helen E. (Brady) O'Brien. She was raised in Bridgewater, a graduate of Bridgewater HS class of 1958, and Bridgewater State University class of 1962. Upon her graduation from college, she met and married her late husband Robert in 1964 and moved to Catania, Sicily where Robert, an officer in the US Navy was stationed. She then returned to the USA and settled in Pennsylvania, where she raised her family and taught special education at Truman High School for 27 years. She and her husband Robert retired to South Yarmouth in 1997, where she came out of retirement and taught part-time at Cape Cod Technical School. Upon her retirement, Constance enjoyed volunteering and spending time with her friends & family enjoying life at her home on Long Pond.
Constance is survived by her sons Michael of Longmont, Colorado, John of South Yarmouth, her cousin Paul O'Brien of Bridgewater, and her beloved cat George.
