Richard Leo Cadrin
Apr 12th, 2021
Richard L. Cadrin, 61, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 12, 2021, at his home in Hyannis, after a brave battle with cancer. Born in Fall River, MA, he was the son of the late Raymond C. and Doris I. Cadrin. Rick graduated from Cape Cod Technical High School where he studied culinary arts. He worked for UPS for the last fifteen years retiring in 2020.
Rick was a big guy with a big personality and a big heart. Gregarious and friendly, Rick always had a beautiful smile and a joke for everyone he met. He loved to play golf, fish and always kept his rod and reel in the car, just in case he drove by a good fishing hole. He enjoyed spending much of his free time with his daughter and four beloved grandchildren: fishing, golfing, tubing in VT and filling their days making special memories with their Pepere.
He is survived by his much loved daughter, Michelle N. Cadrin; and her children,
Doveonna, Tristen, Savannah and Nolan of VT; his brother, Raymond E. Cadrin of Cambridge; his brother, Roger E. Cadrin and his wife, Mary, of Marstons Mills; his sister, Lisa M. Collins and her wife, Cheryl, of Yarmouth Port; his nephew, Jeremy R. Cadrin and his wife, Ashley and their two children, Tom and Finn; his dear auntie, Cecile Audette of Fall River and many cherished cousins.
Family and friends may call at the Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave., South Yarmouth, MA on Saturday, April 17 from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 O’clock noon at St. Francis Xavier Church, South St., Hyannis, MA. Interment will follow in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Pine St.

My condolences to Ricks family. Rick was a very special guy with a huge heart and sense of humor to match. He will be missed.
I first met Rick in 2000 on Martha's Vineyard, I was a UPS driver Rick was a FedEx driver. In 2006 when I got promoted one of the first things I did was hire Rick to work with us. He was one of the most cheerful guys I ever met. He always had a joke ready no matter what was going on in the moment. Rest in peace my friend..
We are heartbroken to hear the news of Rick's passing. He was a dear man and supportive friend. My son and I met Rick in 2014 I believe, while he delivered packages to our office in Sandwich. We always looked forward to "UPS time!" My son, Aiden, was very young when we met Rick, and he even dressed up as a UPS driver one Halloween. Aiden wanted to share this message: "I enjoyed helping Rick with the UPS packages on his Sandwich route." We send all of our love to Rick's family. We will never forget him!
Rest in the sweetest peace, our great family friend. Your faith and love of family was always evident to us. It was such an honor to have known you. Thank you for making us feel so loved. You will be dearly missed.
Richard, A true fisher of men, you fought the good fight, you ran the good race. Fair winds and following seas, dear Shipmate.
