William Thomas Fenton, 65, of West Yarmouth, passed away on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at Cape Cod Hospital with his family at his bedside. Born in Hartford, Connecticut, he was the son of the late Harold Fenton and Julia (Infante) Fenton.

William “Billy” was a 1974 graduate of Northwest Catholic High School and a 1979 graduate of University of Connecticut. A 41-year resident of Yarmouth, he was a local building contractor and built many remarkable homes on Cape Cod, including the home where he raised his family on Setucket Road. His talent as a master carpenter and craftsman were unmatched in his field. He also proudly served as a Vice Chairman on the Yarmouth Conservation Commission.

Billy was always ready for an adventure. He loved being at the beach or a concert, especially if Steely Dan was playing. His zest for life, welcoming presence and unconditionally loving embrace ensured Billy made friends everywhere he went. His signature smile never left his face. Most of all, he treasured his family. His host of nieces and nephews cherish summers on Cape with Uncle Bill. He was incredibly proud of his daughters and adored his two grandchildren. He recently fulfilled a lifelong dream when he worked with his daughters side by side on their home in Vermont.

He is survived by his former wife and good friend: Karen Fenton, their loving children and spouses: Kristen and Bob Luiso of Newton, MA and Leah and Alex Mazza of Cambridge, MA; his grandchildren Camden Luiso and Lilah Mazza, along with his siblings and their spouses: Richard and Joan Fenton of Brockport, NY, Stephen and Donna Fenton of Winchester, CT, Kathy and Harry Reynolds of Windsor, CT and Thomas and Jane Fenton of Hebron, CT.

His life will be celebrated on Monday, March 22 with visiting hours at Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave., South Yarmouth from 9:30am – 10:30 am followed by a Funeral Mass at Saint Pius X Parish, Station Ave., South Yarmouth at 11:00 am.

Donations in Billy’s memory may be made to PIER Recovery Center of Cape Cod, 209 Main St, Hyannis, MA 02601 or their parent organization site https://gandaracenter.org/donate/.

Billy was one of a kind. He was so generous and loving and always had a good word for everyone. I remember so many occasions at my daughter Lori's House in East sandwich when Billy was there and all the fun we had. I think Billy and I were the last ones at the table. He had so many tails to tell! My sincerest condolences to the family for this tremendous loss. Rest in peace Billy!

Billy, Its been way to many years since we have got together, that was my plan for 2021. I often think of the good Winter times at Ken Hamilton's house in South Wardsboro, Vermont. Where cards and friendship were always present. I will miss you old friend. May you rest in piece, never forgotten! With great sadness Tommy Kelly Niantic, CT
