Rosanne Schoffel
Nov 8th, 2020
Rosanne Schoffel of Yarmouth Port passed away at Cape Cod Hospital on November 8, 2020 at the age of 70.
Rosanne was born on the Fourth of July in Newark, New Jersey, graduated from Morristown High School, and went on to earn a certificate in Licensed Practical Nursing. She began her career at All Souls Hospital in Morristown, but soon moved to Cape Cod where she worked at Cape Cod Hospital for over thirty years in the Respiratory Therapy and Diagnostic Cardiology Departments.
“Rosie” was a collector: antique oak furniture, snowmen, recipes and cooking shows, but mostly she collected people in groups or “families”. Her first family included her late parents Raymond and Dorothy Schoffel as well as her brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Linda Schoffel, niece Jessica Schoffel, cousins Abraham and Susan Chasnoff, Paul and Lydia Krueger, and many others.
Her other “special” families included friends collected through her years at Cape Cod Hospital, her family of dear neighbors at Deb’s Hill Condominiums, the Lincolns (Bonnie, Tom and children), the Welshs (Sharon, Tim and children), and the Yelles (Karen and kitty).
Rosanne’s sense of humor, courage, caring and generous heart ensured her a very special place in the lives of all she touched. She will be loved and missed always.
A gathering to remember Rosanne will be held when conditions permit. Until then, cheer for her beloved Patriots, Tom Brady, and raise a sparkler on the Fourth of July in honor of what would have been her 71st birthday!
Memorial donations may be made to Yarmouth Rescue, 96 Old Main Street, South Yarmouth, MA 02664, in honor of their service to Rosanne Schoffel, Deb’s Hill Condominiums.

I was so sad to read of Rosanne’s passing. We worked many years together in Cardiology. My sympathy to her friends and family.
