Aricie Blanc (known as madame Inoel Meritus), 87, of Dennis died on July 31, 2020 at Cape Cod Hospital. Born in Haiti, she was the daughter of Examond Blanc and Nezida Emile.

She was a single mother raising her 6 children for most of her lifetime. Aricie worked as a farmer, planting crops and selling them to provide for her children. Aricie moved to the United States in 2002 where she helped care for her grandchildren. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

She was an active member of the Haitian Nazarean Church in South Dennis, and had a strong faith in God.

Aricie is survived by her children: Damas Meritus, Jean Enock Meritus, Claude Meritus, and Marie Magdala Meritus Pierre. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Amanda Meritus, Noven Meritus, and Max Pierre. Aricie was predeceased by her children Erolde Meritus, Exumond Meritus, and 3 children at childbirth.

Her death has greatly impacted her loved ones and she will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 14, 2020 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm in the Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave, South Yarmouth. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at 10:00am in the Church of the Nazarene, 209 Upper County Rd, South Dennis. Interment will follow in Chandler Gray Cemetery.
