Eleanor Garvey - 89 Eleanor Garvey died at home on November 28, 2019 after a long illness. She was born and raised in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of Elizabeth (Hinckley) and Benjamin St. John Garvey.

She majored in chemistry at Radcliffe College and after graduation worked as a research chemist in the Philadelphia area. Upon taking early retirement she moved to the family house on Mill Way in Barnstable Village, where she lived with her much loved cats and always welcomed family members and their friends. For many years Eleanor could often be seen riding her bicycle around the neighborhood.

She is survived by her sister, Elizabeth Morton of Yarmouth Port, and her nephew, Kenneth Morton of Barnstable. They would like to thank Elizabeth Adamu for taking such good care of her in the last months of her life and the Hospice nurses for their skilled kindness.
