Joyce Florence Webster (Gresens) of Yarmouth Port, loving wife and mother, passed away early on Tuesday, March 26th at the age of 87 after a period of failing health.

Joyce was born in 1931 in Rochester, New York. She worked for the Eastman Kodak Company in Rochester until she met her future husband, Milo Webster. The two were happily married for 62 years. Together they raised three children, two sons, Milo and Randall, and one daughter, Mylene. The family moved to Braintree, Massachusetts, where they raised their family. Eventually Joyce and Milo retired to the peace and serenity of Cape Cod to live their remaining years, enjoying the sunsets together on their back deck.

Joyce possessed a great love of art and was a member of the Cape Cod Art Association. Joyce loved painting and drawing almost as much as she loved her family. It is through her art that her family will remember her as so much of her artworks were of family. Joyce had an infectious laugh and her calming presence could make anyone feel at home with her warm smile and giving spirit.

Joyce was preceded in death by her loving husband, Milo. She is survived by her three children, Milo E. Webster of New Bedford, Mylene J. Adams and her husband Michael of Berkley, and Randall A. Webster of West Yarmouth. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Arthur Gresens. She leaves her wonderful grandchildren, Joshua, Delaney and Kiley, along with many nieces and nephews.

Joyce had a special and endearing relationship with her sister, June Damond. Together they could be found shopping throughout Cape Cod and enjoying the company of one another.

It has been said that a good mother is irreplaceable. With that, all who knew and loved Joyce agree that Joyce Webster was in all ways, irreplaceable.

The family wishes to thank all the health care professionals who cared for Joyce these past few months. Their tireless efforts to help provide comfort to our mother during this difficult time will not be forgotten. The staff at Visiting Angels, Liberty Commons, and Beacon Hospice, along with the countless other angels who helped in mom’s care, our thanks for all your efforts on mom’s behalf.

Private services will be held for immediate family.
