Anna N. Dickie (Fahey) 87 of West Yarmouth died Wednesday August 19, 2015 at the Mayflower Place Nursing Center in West Yarmouth.
For 53 years, Anna was married to the late Alan Zylinski who died in 2000. They had camped at Peter’s Pond in Sandwich for 35 years. After Alan’s death, Anna married the late George D. Dickie, who died in 2010. They were married for 7 years.
Anna and George moved to Mayflower Place Senior Living and began an active social life. She was a member of the singing group, The Geritones. She was a performer and wrote the signature song “We Are the Geritones”.
A very giving person, Anna was a foster mother to over a dozen children over the years.
Anna is survived by two sons, Robert Zylinski and his wife, Ellen of Sandwich, and Alan Zylinski of Fairfield, IA; two sisters, Louise Casey of Ramsey, NJ, and Marie McCormack of Taunton; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday August 26 in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
Visiting hours will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday August 25 in the Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave., South Yarmouth, MA.
