Oliva Paul Denoncourt

Oliva Paul Denoncourt “Denny”, 91, of West Yarmouth, died peacefully on February 11, 2019. Born and raised in Marlborough, MA, where he finished high school and joined the Navy where he was an Aviation Radioman on a bomber plane until he was honorably discharged with a WWII Victory Medal, American Theatre Medal and a Combat Aircrew Insignia.
After his service, Denny worked in the family business of Chase Laundry in Hyannis for 30 years before retiring. He kept busy working at the Oyster Harbor Marine store until his favorite chair called him for a quiet life at home. Denny had many hobbies over the years including photography where he processed his own slides, firearms that he donated to the Yarmouth Police Department where he was an auxiliary police officer for many years, and traveling with his family and friends. He was generous and loving to his family and will be sorely missed.
Oliva was predeceased by his loving wife of 69 years Marjorie (Chase) Denoncourt. He is survived by his children; Katherine Coggeshall, Martha Clark, Jane Angell and Adam Denoncourt. He was Papa to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Oliva will be laid to rest at a private family burial in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.
