Michael J. "Mickey" Burke

Michael J. “Mickey” Burke 72 of Brewster and formerly of Bridgewater died Saturday June 9, 2018 at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis.
Born in Brockton, Michael was the son of the late Richard T. and Margaret H. (Keough) Burke. He graduated from Cardinal Spellman High School in Brockton and attended Bridgewater State College. He proudly served in the U. S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged with the rank of Lance Corporal in 1968.
Prior to retirement, Michael worked as a Customer Service Representative at Home Depot in Hyannis.
Michael is survived by his daughter, Jennifer; son, Michael Jr.; two brothers, Edmund “Ted” and his wife, Janet of Juneau, AK, and David and his wife, Sally of Neptune Beach, FL. Mickey was also a loving and caring uncle and “great” uncle to many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He was predeceased by two older brothers, Richard T. Burke Jr. and Shawn H. Burke.
He had a terrific sense of humor that he shared at all family gatherings.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday June 21 in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
The procession will form at 10:15 a.m. at the Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave., South Yarmouth.
