Matthew W. Medeiros 39 of Yarmouth Port died unexpectedly at Tobey Hospital in Wareham Thursday December 14, 2017.

He was the husband of Elvina Medeiros.

Born in Worcester, Matt was the son of Robert W. and Lynn E. Medeiros. He grew up on Cape Cod and enjoyed all the things the Cape is famous for. Summer days on Sandy Neck and fishing for stripers at night. He enjoyed playing baseball and became an avid Disk Golf player, with lots of friends in the community. He also enjoyed golfing and almost any other competitive activity. His true passion though, was being a devoted husband to Ellie and father to Mila. He will be sorely missed by his entire family and his many friends.

In addition to his wife and parents, Matt is survived by his daughter, Mila Medeiros of Yarmouth Port; and two sisters, Rebecca Terkelsen and Melyssa Medeiros both of Yarmouth Port.

Visiting hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday December 20 in the Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave., South Yarmouth.  

Interment will be private.
