Beth J. (Moore) Boyd passed away at her home in Dennis on her birthday, December 11, 2017. She is survived by Richard Burnham with whom she shared her life and who gave her love and devotion for the last 23 years.
Beth was born in Springfield, MA where she grew up. Following graduation from Bay Path Junior College in Longmeadow, MA she worked as a certified medical assistant; a lifelong career. Beth was a natural caregiver, who took care of her family and friends. She was loved by all who knew her including her patients, dear neighbors, her church and singing groups and her beloved dogs.
Beth had been married to John E. Boyd who died in 1989. John’s family adopted Beth as their second mother and grandmother.
Beth will be missed by her older sister, Dorcas West, her twin brother, Dr. Spencer Moore, his wife, Libby, and their children, Elizabeth, Adam Moore and his wife, Jesica, and their children, Winneford and Hudson.. She is also survived by her cousins, John and Nancy Westin, and the Boyd family: Michael and Sharon and their children, Matthew, Christopher and Molly: Stephen and Mary and their children, Elizabeth, Amanda and Jeffrey: Betsy and Tom Badgley and their children, Courtney and Steven: David and Denise and Richard’s son, Brian and his wife, Jody Burnham, and their son, Kyle.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. in the Dennis Union Church, Route 6A, Dennis, MA. Interment will be on Friday, December 15 in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA.
