Carolyn (Kendrick) Day Eldred, 83,  of Dennis, passed away peacefully at Mayflower Nursing Home in West Yarmouth, surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, April 23, 2017. Born April 7, 1934 in New Bedford, Massachusetts, Carolyn was one of the co-founders of the Yarmouth Ice Club which originated back in 1972 at the Cape Cod Coliseum in South Yarmouth, MA . The YIC is still an ongoing organization today. She is survived by her sister Marcia Childs of Marstons Mills, former husband and friend Robert W. Kendrick of South Yarmouth, loving partner William Scharman of Dennis, her six children, daughters Pam McConkey of West Yarmouth, Holly O'Leary and her husband Brian of Atlanta, GA; Alyssa Starkweather and her husband Jonathan of Chatham; sons Brian Kendrick and his wife, Barbara of Lawrenceville, NJ; Jonathan Kendrick of Dennis, and Darren Kendrick of Hollywood, CA. Also surviving 9 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and many nieces & nephews. She is predeceased by her son, David Kendrick. A Graveside service will be held Thursday April 27th at 11am, in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, South Street, Harwich Port , with reception to follow.

Carolyn.. we will miss you more than you could ever imagine. You will always be in our hearts. All our thoughts and prayers are with your family . May there be peace in the fond memories everyone will hold forever.
