In this time of sorrow, may these promises from the Bible comfort Richard's dear family. Jehovah God is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit. And he will wipe away the tears from all faces. Psalm 34:18; Isaiah 25:8 NWT. Peace be with you all.

Rick and Family "Hello Mr DeVries" is how I greeted your father hundreds of times over 50 years. I stopped by the Cape Cod house in Nov. 2015 soon after my mother died . Expecting to find Rick but instead found Mr DeVries watching an old 1950's Western on TV. Unfortunately he no longer recognized me anymore. I remember when he chewed me, Rick, Donald Haas, Paul Francis, Steve and Jim Matos, Louis Nardone, etc it was for good reason however he always has a wry smile on his face. He would drive us to high school in the winters of 69-71 in his old green truck ( I believe it was green or was that the Country Squire ?) I was amazed at how fast he could complete a carpentry job. He was involved with our various interests at the time: the Sunfish, ham radio, beefing up the Cougar, etc. He would see us off on the 1st day of fishing which was usually cold and resulted in no fish in Spy Pond. He would sit on the deck by the backyard pool after the work day - we enjoyed swimming in Spy Pond. Thank you for a lot of good memories and mentoring over the years. You were a good man
