Joyce Leona (Iovino) Maresco

Joyce Leona (Iovino) Maresco, 75 of Yarmouthport passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2017.
Joyce was born and raised in Malden, thee daughter of Bernard and Elizabeth Iovino. She attended Melrose High School and graduated in 1959. She married her beloved husband Carmen N. Maresco on May 21, 1961 and resided in Everett for 43 years of their 53 year marriage.
Joyce was employed at Poly-Pak in Wakefield for a number of years before becoming a directory assistance operator for New England Telephone/Nynex from 1979-1996. In 2004, Joyce and Carmen retired to Yarmouthport where they spent 10 happy years enjoying long rides traveling throughout New England, cheering on their favorite team, the New England Patriots and barbecuing on their deck while watching friends, neighbors and family play golf.
Joyce is survived by her sister, Lucille R. Marshall of Henderson, NV; a brother, Leonard Iovino of Malden; a son Michael A. Maresco of Marshfield and his wife Kathleen; a daughter Dianne M. Adelizzi of Yarmouth Port and her husband John; and three grandchildren, Anthony Adelizzi, and Joseph and Maggie Maresco.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday March 3 in St. Pius X Church, Station Ave., South Yarmouth.
Interment will follow in Woodside Cemetery, Summer St., Yarmouthport.
Visitation will precede the Mass beginning at 9:30 a.m. in the Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave., South Yarmouth.
