Maureen A. Rosenbach (McIntyre) 76 of Brewster and formerly of South Dennis died Monday July 18, 2016 at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis.
She was wife of Charles B. Rosenbach. They had been married for 55 years.
Born, raised and educated in Chicago, IL, Mrs. Rosenbach was the daughter of the late William R. and Dorothy M. (Hawkins) McIntyre. She graduated from St. Willibrord Catholic High School and DePaul University.
In the early 1970’s, Maureen and her family moved to Pittsburgh, PA, where she worked as a legal secretary for the Dean at Duquesne University Law School. In 1981, they bought the Red Cottage Store (now Restaurant) in South Dennis, where she worked until failing health forced her to retire.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Rosenbach is survived by three sons, Nicholas P. of Alexandria, VA, Joseph A. of Irving, TX, and Daniel J. of South Dennis; a brother, Timothy D. McIntyre of Chicago, IL; and loving grandchildren and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Friday July 22 in St. Pius X Church, Station Ave., South Yarmouth.
Interment will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery, South Dennis.
Visiting hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday July 21 in the Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave., South Yarmouth.
