Charles J. Wilk, 88, of West Yarmouth, died Sunday, May 29, 2016, at the McCarthy Care Center in Sandwich after a brief illness He was the loving husband of the late Barbara “Bobbi” (Ratzer) Wilk for 65 years.
Born in Clifton, N.J., Mr. Wilk served as a paratrooper for the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked as a machinist for Packaging Industries. He enjoyed hunting, flying and most of all, spending time with family. He was a member of the NRA, Bass River Rod & Gun Club for many years, and a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association.
Mr. Wilk was the loving father of Beverly (Wilk) Stephenson of East Falmouth, and Maryanne (Wilk) Young and her husband James of Yarmouthport; loving grandfather of Joshua Stephenson and his wife Mariya of Watertown, Jocelyn Colburn and her husband Matthew of North Falmouth, Jennica Kraft of California, Jonathan Stephenson of East Falmouth, Jordan Stephenson of East Falmouth, and Ryan Wilk of Yarmouthport; and loving great-grandfather of Matthew Haynes and Gwyneth Colburn. In addition to his wife, he is predeceased by his son, Steven Wilk, and great-grandson Riley Colburn.
Services are private.
