I was so sad to learn of Neil's passing. I was fortunate enough to spend many hours with Neil playing golf at Hopkinton CC. I always looked forward to a round with Neil. He was always humble in victory (which was often) and gracious in defeat (which was rare). He was a true gentleman in every sense of the word. I know I speak for every member when I say how much he will be missed. My prayers go out to his loving family. God bless.

This news is so difficult to bear. Seeing the picture of Neil's handsome happy face makes me want to deny reality and grasp magical thinking...Neil's not really gone...he can't be! But, is that magical or faith based thinking? I choose faith for there is comfort and peace there. Neil will live on in all the many hearts he touched. We will see him in his children, in Jody's smile, in the faces of the story tellers and, why not, even on the golf course. This may be difficult at times, but the more we are surrounded by the people who love Neil, the more his presences will be felt, seen and recognized. Praying for peace. Praying for comfort. Celebrating that I was one of the blessed ones to call Neil friend.

Dear McNamara Family: I am so sorry for your loss. Please accept my sincere condolences. It breaks our hearts when death separates us from the ones we love so much. The Bible reminds us that God sees our pain and grief and has promised that soon "death will be no more."(Revelation 21:4) He will heal our broken hearts by resurrecting our dear loved ones to life again.(Acts 24:15) Until then, I hope the memories of Neil and these promises from God comfort you in the days to come.
