Eleanor A. Pozzi entered God's eternal rest on March 8, 2025, at the age of 81. She was born in Newton and lived there for the first half of her life before moving to Cape Cod.

She was the daughter of the late Josephine and Querino (Woody) Pozzi and the mother of the late Lynore A Grasso.

Eleanor graduated from Newton High School where she was a drum majorette. She received her Master’s Degree from Boston College in the teaching program of CCD where she also studied art. She taught at Sacred Heart Church in Newton. She worked in the Newton school system for many years as a lunch lady and then crossing guard. Eleanor was a talented artist, florist and cook. She had a great love for gardening and grew the most beautiful hydrangeas. Eleanor was an avid Red Sox fan. Her faith was her strength.

She is survived by her children Joan DeDoming, Danyel DeDoming, Jacqueline and Donn Christensen, her brothers John Pozzi and his wife Pina Pozzi, Steven and his wife Lori Pozzi, her grandchildren Jacob DeDoming and Harley Christensen, her beloved great-granddaughter Elora Lynne (EL) DeDoming and nephew Robert Pozzi.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Station Ave, South Yarmouth, MA.
