Sara “Sally” Belle Ryder of West Yarmouth, MA, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2025. Mom, Aunt Sally, Grandma Sally, lived a long and happy life and will forever be remembered for her smile, quick wit and unwavering stubbornness!

Sally loved to share her passion for reading and her enthusiasm for theater and music with her family and dear friend Barbara Ryder. She enjoyed volunteering at the West Yarmouth Congregational Church, especially the pumpkin patch and lobster roll fundraisers. Sally also loved to travel and would spend several months each year in both Montana and Nevada, where she visited national parks and explored the breathtaking natural beauty of this country with her daughters and their families. Sally’s last trip was an unforgettable journey to see the Statue of Liberty on her 90th birthday. Her family was so happy they were able to share this “bucket list” trip to celebrate her milestone occasion.

Sally was preceded in death by her parents, Charlotte and Harrison Weston, her sister and brother, Nancy Mendoza and Robert “Butch” Weston, and her nephew, David Weston. Sally is survived by her three loving daughters, Laurie, Nancy and Rachael as well as her seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, fourteen nieces and nephews and all of their families.

A private burial at Ancient Cemetery, Yarmouth Port, MA and a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
