Michael “Mike” Barry of So. Yarmouth, MA passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday December 18, 2024. Mike was born July 21, 1958 in So. Weymouth, MA and grew up in Whitman, MA. He was the son of the late William and Irene (Noone) Barry of Pembroke, MA and loving husband of the late Carol McCracken Barry of So. Yarmouth, MA.

Mike had an Associates Degree in Business Management from Massasoit Community College. Throughout his professional career, he worked as a manager at South Shore Hospital, Cape Cod Healthcare and Cape Medical Supply.

Everyone who knew Mike knew his infectious laugh and that he was the life of the party, always cracking a joke. He loved live music and golf adventures with his buddies. He was an avid golfer who served on the Yarmouth Golf Tournament Committee and chaired the 40 Thieves Group. You could commonly find Mike at Smugglers Beach with his beloved dog, Chiquita. He joined Improv Cape Cod in Dennis, MA as an actor and formerly served on the Board of Trustees at The Academy of Performing Arts in Orleans, MA. He loved being on stage and showcasing his larger-than-life personality. He was a Friend of Bill and member of the Bass River Morning group where he was avidly involved in helping others in the recovery community.

In addition to his parents and wife, Mike is predeceased by his sisters Elizabeth Griffen of Sunland, CA and Carol Aziz of Pembroke, MA.

Mike is survived by his brothers William Barry of Taunton, MA and Richard Barry and his wife Elizabeth of Edgewood, MD. His sisters Brenda Shay of Taunton, MA and Susan Burden and her husband Stephen of Taunton, MA. He is also survived by his step children Sarah Steidinger and her husband Eric of Raynham, MA and Scott McCracken and his wife Emily of Williston, VT. He is the proud Papa of Calvin Steidinger and Molly McCracken, as well as a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews along with his network of close friends.

Visiting hours will be held at Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave, So. Yarmouth, MA on Monday, December 30, 2024 from 3:00-6:30; a funeral ceremony honoring Mike's life will start at 6:30. A celebration of life will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mike's memory to the American Heart Association at heart.org.
