Jillian Katherine Endres, 21, of Yarmouth Port, MA, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2024 in Boston, MA, due to complications of Rett syndrome.

Jilly was born on February 26, 2003 in Melrose, MA to Jennifer and Justin Endres. She attended school in the Dennis-Yarmouth Regional School District, where she was an active and beloved member of the student body and community. Whether watching her friends play field hockey or cheering on her brothers at baseball, hockey, and lacrosse games, Jilly was always present, supporting those she loved with joy.

Though faced with many challenges from Rett syndrome, Jilly lived a profoundly full and meaningful life. She knew only love and radiated it everywhere she went. Her lesson of love, patience, bravery and strength were immeasurable. To know Jilly was to become a better person. Her sparkling expressive eyes spoke volumes without ever saying a word. Jilly’s spirit was both gentle and powerful and she leaves behind a legacy far greater than her years. Her absence creates a void that can never be filled, yet the sky and Heaven are brighter because she is there.

Jilly is survived by her loving parents, Jennifer and Justin Endres and her cherished brothers, Griffin and Colin Endres. She will be deeply missed by her great-grandmother, Helen Hamilton of Milton, MA; her grandparents, Paul and Andrea Endres of East Dennis, MA, and Ken and Caron Welch of Brewster, MA. Jilly also leaves behind many aunts and uncles who played pivotal roles in her journey: Michael and Sarah Endres of South Yarmouth, MA, Peter and Mary Endres of Milton, MA, Melissa and Dan Leslie of Rutland, MA, Paul and Colleen Endres of North Attleboro, MA, Shannon and Jared Reeves of Harwich, MA and Jamie and Ryan Melia of South Yarmouth, MA. Her cousins; Keegan and Patrick Endres, Liam and Henry Endres, Jack and Finn Leslie, Piper and Tallulah Endres, Ella and Cameron Reeves and Jacob and Caela Melia were a source of joy and love for her. Jilly was adored by great aunts, great uncles and second cousins who were like immediate family.

Visitation hours will be held at Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave., South Yarmouth, MA on Friday, December 20, 2024 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at 11:00 am at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Station Ave., South Yarmouth, MA. Burial will be private at Woodside Cemetery, Yarmouth Port, MA.

To honor Jilly’s memory, contributions may be made to the Rett Syndrome Research Trust, online at www.reverserett.org/donate or checks may be mailed to: Rett Syndrome Research Trust, 67 Under Cliff Road, Trumbull, CT 06611. (Please include Jilly’s name in the memo line of the check.)

With deepest sympathy at this time. I began following your family on Facebook as we have in common the fact my younger sister was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome in 1976 about two years following her birth. She lived to be 43 and her name is Melissa. I have a deep interest in the Rett Syndrome Research Foundation and will be donating in Jilly's name. Thinking of your family. Even though wexhav3 nevercmet..we have Rett Angel's in common.
