Benjamin B. Swift IV
Nov 29th, 2024
Benjamin B. Swift IV of Brewster, MA passed away suddenly on November 29, 2024 at the age of 37. Ben was the son of Benjamin B. Swift III and the late Debra A. (Ferreira) Swift. Ben was born on Cape Cod and graduated from Nauset Regional High School. He was a star baseball player for Nauset Regional High School and also played in the Babe Ruth Baseball League, both summer and fall. He was a member of the AAU League Cape Cod Captains, playing in interstate tournaments throughout the northeast.
Ben worked as a chef in the restaurant industry where he learned his craft from the best chefs from Cape Cod to Charleston, SC.
An avid fisherman, Benjamin always came home with the biggest fish stories. Fishing the midnight moon tides at Crowes Pasture and Chapin Beach in Dennis with his fishing buddy, Peter Ellis, was one of his passions. He also loved the outer beaches of Nauset. His love for the family camp in Rangeley, Maine was by far his spot to put the world behind him and just relax.
In addition to his mother, Ben is predeceased by his sister, Emma K. Swift and his grandparents, Benjamin B. Jr. and Katherine L. Swift, and Manuel and Emma Ferreira.
He is survived by his aunts and uncles: Frances Dike, Contance Swift and Leonard Roll, Sharon and Bob Smith, Lorraine Downey, Thomas Downey, Diane and John Rudden, Wayne and Chris Ferreira and Mike and Maura Ferreira as well as many cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave., South Yarmouth, MA on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. with a service at 6:00 P.M. Interment will be private.

So sorry Ben. Our heart hurts for you. There are no words-
Ben. My brother sent me the obituary of your son Ben, it appears he liked to do all the same things we did, the beach, baseball and going to the cabin in Maine. I remember the first time we went there with your dad. I look forward to seeing you when I get back. You can always call at 970/376-4530. Thinking of you and everyone . Love Ed &Kathy.
