Robert F. Griffin, age 88, died in Yarmouth, MA on November 10, 2024. Bob was born in New York City to Ruth (Kilkelly) and Francis Griffin(WWII Veteran).

He was raised in Holyoke with his siblings, Judy, Lynn, David, and Terry. He attended the Holyoke Public Schools and later the University of Massachusetts-Amherst where he met his wife Joan (Piantoni) of North Adams. He received a Masters Degree in Education at Westfield State College and moved his family to Enfield, Connecticut.

He was a dedicated educator in the Enfield Public School System where he taught, served as Principal of the Mark Twain Elementary School and then as the Director of Pupil Services. During this time, he touched an abundance of lives and made treasured friends with fellow educators.

He enjoyed his retirement with his wife on Cape Cod, where he enthusiastically welcomed his beloved children and grandchildren for visits to his favorite places including the local beaches, restaurants, and the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox games.

He loved his family from the bottom of his heart and enjoyed all of their successes. He is survived by his wife, Joan, sons Bob and Dave(Mary), his grandchildren: Laura, Steven and Matthew Griffin, siblings Judy and Terry, nephews, niece, and cousins.

A private ceremony is scheduled for November 16, 2024 in Yarmouth.
