Paul Francis Smith passed away peacefully on November 13, 2024. He was born in Worcester to the late Angnes (Egan) Smith on January 28th, 1938. He went to St. Peters High School and later went on to graduate from the College of the Holy Cross.

Paul married his high school sweetheart and best friend, Ann Marie Pressey on August 20th, 1960. They moved to Michigan where Paul served in the Air Force for three years, before returning to Massachusetts. Annie and Paul settled in Shrewsbury, raising their family and calling it home. Paul worked in Human Resources for Polaroid for 30 years. He and Annie retired to the cape in 1996 where Paul began his second career working for Today Real Estate. He was a natural helping people buy and sell houses. He worked until the age of 84. Saying that Paul was a good man would be an understatement – he cared, loved, listened, and helped.

Paul leaves behind his wife of 64 years, Ann Marie Smith, his daughter Sue Coggeshall, his son Mark Smith and wife Jennifer, and his daughter in law Jill Smith. A sister Agnes Marie Matthews of Cortez, FL. He leaves his grandchildren, Kristin and Michael Coggeshall, Anthony, Liam, Declan and Maksim Smith, Matthew and Jake Smith and Kylee Jackson and her husband Matthew. Paul was predeceased by his son Matthew Smith.

Paul was selfless his whole life, putting everyone before himself. His greatest role in life was that of husband, Dad and Grampy.

A celebration of Paul’s life will be held in the Spring.
