I am sadden at the loss of August. I have known August through East Dennis Community Church, the Community of Jesus, and held young adult Bible studies at the Viekman's home in South Dennis. Dear Linda, Bruce, and Laurie, Jill and I send you our sincere condolences and deepest sympathy. August is a dear friend and we are so grateful to the Lord for his friendship, love, and encouragement during our time on Cape Cod. We so appreciated those moments when August would pray for us when we were looking for a home. It always seemed that just when we needed an encouraging word, there was August! When we needed wisdom, or someone to remind us of God's perfect timing and provision, August always seemed to know what to say. Jill and I pray for the comfort of the Holy Spirit, the enduring presence of God, and the grace of Jesus Christ to uphold you in this season of grief (1 Corinthians 15:50-58; 2 Corinthians 1:3-11; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18). Kindest regards, Michael and Jill [P.S. for Linda; You think about that!]
We praise God for August! We knew him because we served Christ Chapel as their Interim Pastor. Our greatest condolences to all his family. God bless you all!
