Pamela E. Foran
Oct 17th, 2024
Pamela Elizabeth (Fitzgerald) Foran of Naples, FL, passed away surrounded by her loving family at her summer home on Cape Cod on October 17, 2024, after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She remained incredibly positive throughout her treatments until her final days and was an inspiration to everyone in her life.
Born in Worcester, MA, Pam/Pammie was the youngest (and most spoiled) of the three daughters of the late Robert R. and Mary M. (Hersey) Fitzgerald. She leaves behind her loving husband, John P. (Jay) Foran, along with her cherished children, Patrick J. Foran and his wife, Melissa, of Cummaquid, MA, and Meagan E. Willis and her husband, Brad, of Harwich, MA. She also leaves her grandchildren, Morgan, Johnny, Emma, and Patrick Jr., and was the doting vovó to Aloisio. Pam will be missed dearly by her incredible sisters, Mary Diggins and her husband, Neil, of West Boylston, MA, and Anne Elwell and her husband, Bob, of Naples, FL. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Mark Foran, and his wife, Ann, of Worcester, MA. She will be greatly missed by her many cousins, nieces, nephews, their children, and her beloved grand-dogs, Gilligan and Ellie.
Pam graduated from Marian High School in Worcester, MA, and attended Quinsigamond Community College. In 1987, Pam and Jay relocated from Holden to Dennis, MA, and established EBS Foran Insurance, which they successfully operated until the sale of the business in 2014. Pam was truly Jay’s business partner and had a remarkable talent for multitasking—including keeping Jay in line at all times!
In 2002, Pam and Jay purchased their first home in Naples, FL. Following the sale of their business, they purchased a larger home in Fiddlers Creek (Naples) to be filled with family and friends. They established permanent residency to escape the cold, yet maintained their Cape Cod home, giving Pam and Jay the best of both worlds.
Despite becoming a Floridian, Pam never lost her “Wista” accent.
Pam and Jay were blessed to be married for over 48 years. Despite her work responsibilities, Pam’s primary focus was always her family. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and Nana. “No” was never part of her vocabulary, and she loved spoiling her grandchildren. She was a faithful parishioner at both San Marco Catholic Church on Marco Island and St. Pius Tenth Church on Cape Cod.
Everyone who knew Pam will fondly remember her love for people, and her infectious laugh. She constantly went out of her way to help others, leaving a positive impact on everyone she encountered. Pam had a unique ability to make those around her feel special, especially her grandchildren, who were the center of her world. Family meant everything to her, and when she wasn’t with her grandchildren, she enjoyed doing puzzles, calling her oldest sister for help with that final word, or sharing a glass of her favorite chardonnay with her middle sister in Naples.
Although much could be written about this amazing woman, the following words sum her up best: loving, caring, committed, and selfless. While her passing leaves a huge void in our hearts, we are grateful for all that she gave to us.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 24, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hallet Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave, South Yarmouth, MA. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 25, at 10:00 AM at St. Pius Tenth Church in South Yarmouth. A private interment will be held at a later date.
Our family would like to thank Pam’s incredible care team, including Dr. Eric Webber, Dr. Tomas Neilan, and especially the dedicated staffs at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Cape Cod Hospital, Seaside Home Care, and Broad Reach Hospice.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in memory of Pamela Foran to support Dr. Kimberly Perez’s outstanding work with pancreatic cancer: Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, PO Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284, or via dana-farber.org/gift.

What a beautiful photo of a very admirable and very loving woman. She will be remembered with such happy and wonderful memories. My prayers and thoughts are with Mrs. Forum's lovely and loving family.
Lou and I are deeply saddened by your mom,s u timely death. Prayers for you and your family
If all of our love and prayers could have kept our dear Pam here she would still be with us. She fought such a good fight, never complaining, always there for others. I WILL MISS MY DEAREST (younger cousin as she liked to point out at birthday times) MORE THAN THERE ARE WORDS TO SAY. God bless you all. You have the best angel now on your side. With LOVE.
A bright light just went out on the 17th! Pammie was all those things mentioned above and more. She was a wonderful friend who shared her time and especially that wonderful laugh with others. She was faithful in keeping in touch and was always the first to send a Christmas card and birthday card. I will always miss our lunch dates Pam, we were suppose to get together again. I can hear you laughing Pam but I have to tell you that you look like a "movie star" in that picture. Our sadness goes out to Jay, Patrick and Meagan. We hope you can find comfort in knowing how much Pam was loved.
Jay and Patrick, Jane and I are so sorry to hear of the passing of your wife(and mother). Please accept our heartfelt condolences. We never were very close with your family or real estate company although we felt close because we met and supported the same restaurants for decades. We remember the last nice discussion we had at the bar at Olivers this summer. We talked about lots of family and local affairs. We will miss being able to do that again with Pam. We are currently at our home in Winter Haven so we won't be at her services. Take care. Gordon and Jane McGinnis
Our deepest sympathy for your family.
Mom, thank you for all you did, the lessons taught and being the BEST mom (and Nana) anyone could be blessed to have! You set the bar high in everything you did and I will do my best to live up to your standards and carry on the lessons I learned from you. I will never forget your laugh, smile, "nana hugs" and all the great things about you! I love you.
Many years together, many memories shared. You will be forever in our hearts.
A beautiful light to family, friends and the World. A true gift to have witnessed her Glow. Rest in love and peace Pamela. Dennis AKA Garp
