Amy Joan Brigham, 66, of Dennis, MA, passed peacefully on September 14, 2024.

Born in Sutton, MA, Amy was the beloved daughter of Robert and Isabell Brigham and cherished sister to five brothers. She is survived by her two wonderful sons, Christian Brigham and Aaron Brigham, and had a deep bond with her nieces and nephews, whom she helped raise.

Amy's lifelong passion was caregiving, particularly for children. Known affectionately as the "baby whisperer," she began her journey in caregiving at a young age, tending to terminally ill children. After facing personal losses, she transitioned to nannying, which included a memorable period in England with a family she came to love as her own.

Upon returning from England, Amy dedicated herself to foster care, providing a loving home to over 30 children throughout the years. In 1994, she adopted two brothers, Chris and Aaron, whom she raised with boundless love and pride. Her commitment to helping others extended to her work with Angelhouse, where she formed lasting friendships and supported recovering mothers and their children, believing in giving every mother a second chance.

Amy also ran a daycare, creating cherished memories for family and friends, and continued her work in fostering, including caring for children with disabilities and those born addicted. Her advocacy for Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS) care at Cape Cod Hospital was notable, earning recognition on Chronicle for her dedication to both mothers and infants experiencing withdrawal.

Amy was known for her infectious smile, warm laugh, and unwavering compassion. She will be fondly remembered for her extraordinary contributions and the profound impact she made in the lives of so many.

A memorial service to celebrate her remarkable life will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 4:00 PM at Cape Cod Covenant Church, 11 Setucket Road, Brewster, MA 02631.
