Kathleen Anne Snow, 80, died September 13, 2024. She was a family law attorney on Cape Cod, daughter of the late Mary Patricia and Paul Henry Snow, survived by her brother and cousins. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at 10 am in the St. Pius X Church, Station Ave, South Yarmouth, followed by Mass at 11am. Please come casually and colorfully attired. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Cape Cod Healthcare Foundation benefiting the VNA of Cape Cod McCarthy Care Center.

I am attorney in Orleans, Mass. and have known Kathleen for many years. We went to law school together back in early 70s at New England School of Law in Boston. When I moved to Cape to live in 1980, she was the only lawyer on Cape I knew.I always enjoyed our probate law/family law discussions. She was very kind, helpful and informative. She will be missed for sure.

I have been extremely blessed to have met Kathleen, a wonderful person with a beautiful heart, I will never forget our countless times talking for hours about different things, Kathleen was very caring and loving, I remember when my wife was pregnant how she did a surprise party for her. She was very caring with my whole family.! May you rest in peace my dear friend.! God certainly has a beautiful place right beside him for you.! You be be missed!

I was saddened to read of Kathleen Snow's death. I am unable to come to the visitation and funeral, but will be there "in spirit" in my most colorful outfit! I am a retired lawyer, and when I first started practicing in the Barnstable Probate and Family Court, Kathleen Snow was one of the leading family law attorneys. She was also helpful to "new" attorneys, and taught me a lot about how the court system really works. We worked together on some cases (as she was often appointed guardian ad litem by the judges), and we also had some cases where we were on "opposing" sides, but she always kept in mind that it was people in trouble that we were representing, and she was empathetic to all the litigants. I haven't been practicing for about 15 years, but I will always fondly remember some of our shared moments. Suzanne Phillips

It is with deep sadness that we learn of Kathleen’s passing. We were never student in her classroom, or teacher in the schools she served as Principal, never witnessed her lawyering skills in or outside a courtroom, nor have observed her open and prepare her church for early daily mass, or witnessed her comforting visits be it at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital or elsewhere. We were however, friends of some 35+ years. Kathleen was an innovator, advocate for children in contested custody cases, respected attorney, leader, volunteer, a person of deep faith, generous to a fault, humble, humorous and storyteller extraordinaire. Descriptions she certainly would discourage and desire to hear least. Kathleen was a gentle giant within this community, largely unnoticed because she chose to be. Kathleen more than paid rent for the space she occupied within the communities she served. In Sep’t 2000 she was one of two legal professionals honored by the Diocese of Fall River for her service; The Saint Thomas Moore Award for distinguished service, an ecclesiastical recognition of the contributions professionals make to the common good. No finer person was Kathleen Snow. I had the pleasure of volunteering at St. Pius Bingo with her. Her wit and story-telling entertained us and her devotion to Serving others was greatly admired. God Bless her.

Kathleen was a marvelous person. I got to work with her a little in the Church after I moved here. She was caring. Took her job as an advocate very seriously. Kathleen had no spare time. She made time to volunteer at Spalding. I will miss her. My sincere condolences to her family. Mary

We are very sorry to hear of Kathleen's passing. She was a longtime volunteer at St. Pius X Church and member of our Women's Society. My favorite memories are mornings spent chatting together at the St. Pius Library, where she was my most frequent visitor on my volunteer librarian days. Our conversations covered a wealth of topics, including her days in the classroom, as a child advocate, and as a chaplain at local nursing homes. She was an amazing lady who enriched the lives of all who were blessed to know her. May she now rest in peace with God in heaven.
