Charles Edward Poliquin, Jr. passed away peacefully on June 27, 2024.  He was born in Lewiston, ME in 1948 to Charles and Eva (Chabot) Poliquin. Charles had six sisters: Theresa, Lorraine, Pauline, Jackie, Anita and Charlene and four brothers: Pete, Leo, Robert and Paul. He was predeceased by his wife of 43 years, Anita Cloutier Poliquin and is survived by a step-daughter Wanda Gibbs, her husband, Keith, a grandson Jesse Nuzzo, great grandchildren Kelly and Devon and great great grandchildren whom he adored. He was an uncle to many nieces and nephews.
 
He was educated in the Lewiston school system and loved calling Maine his home.  He loved his family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them.  He was a gentle, kind-hearted man who had a strong faith and a good sense of humor.
 
Charles was a faithful member of Kingdom Hall in Auburn, Maine. He loved all the Boston sports teams, especially the Boston Red Sox as well as  playing cards and drinking coffee with family. He loved animals, especially dogs and horses as well as attending car shows.
 
Charles spent the last month of his life on Cape Cod visiting family, making new friends and sightseeing.
 
A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall, 2256 Hotel Rd., Auburn, ME 04210 on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at 1:00 P.M.  A reception will be held immediately following at the American Legion, 426 Washington St., North Auburn, ME.
 
Contributions in his memory may be made to Greater Androscoggin Humane Society or Maine State Society for the Protection of Animals (msspa.org) or American Heart Association.
