Dustin K. Fanning 35 of Harrisville, NH died unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, February 4, 2016. He was the husband of Jessica (Bailey) Fanning.
Born in Northampton, MA, Dustin was the son of James J. and Linda O. (Bergstrom) Fanning of Dennis Port, MA.
Dustin was an accomplished mechanic and craftsman, a remarkable man with a passion for anything big, loud, and fast. In life he was caring and faithful to his family and friends, touching the lives of so many. He had a keen sense of humor and a bright, heartfelt smile for all who knew him. Dustin attended college at the New England Technical Institute and Massachusetts Maritime Academy. He was a graduate of the Dennis Yarmouth High School Class of 1998, where he excelled in football as a linebacker for the Dolphins, earning MVP honors.
In addition to his devoted wife and parents, Dustin is survived by his two beloved sons, Aydin G.J. Fanning and C.J. Raposo, and his dear friends Rhiannon and Linda, devoted mothers of Aydin, and C.J., respectively. Dustin is also survived by Jessica’s children Kiana O’Keefe and Adam O’Keefe, and by his brother Erik K. Fanning, Tanya his wife, nephew Austin and niece Alyssa, his brother Samuel J. Fanning and Tahmineh his wife, his brother Nathaniel O. Fanning, his brother Jared D. Day, his natural father Kenneth A. Pollard and Mary Jean his wife, of Stoddard, NH, and by his many other loving cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Visiting hours will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, February 9th in the Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave., South Yarmouth, MA. Prayers will be offered at 3 p.m.

Dear Linda and Jay, We were deeply saddened to hear about Dustin's passing. We sent a note of condolence, but unfortunately, it was returned by the Postal Service. We remember Dustin as a vibrant teenager. We are thinking of you and your family.

Although I did not know Dustin, I know his Mom, Linda, who spoke very highly of her sons, and treasured every moment with all of them. It is unspeakable how much she will miss Dustin. May he rest in peace, knowing that he was deeply loved by her and his family. May all who remain, have peace with the wonderful memories you have of Dustin.
