Theodore E. Gavin III of Yarmouth Port, MA died peacefully on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at the age of 72 surrounded by his family after a short battle with cancer.  Ted was the son of Theodore E. Gavin Jr. and Helen (Chadwick) Gavin.
 
Ted was born in Walpole, MA, attended college in Oregon and owned his own business as an electrical contractor in various locations: Vermont, Washington (state), California and Yarmouth Port, MA.
 
Ted is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Nancy J. Currie, his daughter Constance L. Clavadetscher and her husband Colin, his son Theodore E. Gavin IV and his wife Ashley as well as two grandchildren Nina L. Clavadetscher and Knoll G. Clavadetscher.  Also surviving are his sister, Elizabeth Butler of Marshfield, MA, his brothers John Gavin and his wife Jane of Cumberland, RI and Robert Gavin of Chelsea, VT and sisters Mary Gavin and her husband Michael Kenefick of Grantham, NH, Eunice Gavin and her partner David Whitney of South Royalton, VT, and Helen Nurse of San Antonio, TX.  He leaves behind many cousins, nieces and nephews and was predeceased by his sister, Kathleen Gavin, his brother Mark Gavin and his brother-in-law David Butler.

Miss you Guys Ted and Mark. Was lucky enough to be one of the pole bearers at Marks passing with Ted , John and Billy Sinclaire. Worked with Ted on a project in Dennisport before he retired. Caught him briefly at the old Yarmouth Inn. Played hockey together as kid on the ponds in Walpole. Time has gone by too fast. My best to the family. Hopefully every thing is going well for you John.
