Evelyn Yurasits, also known affectionately as Eve or Evie, a long-time resident of Yarmouth, MA passed away after a brief illness in which she fought hard on December 26th, 2023, in New Bedford, MA. Evelyn was a beloved wife, mother, nana, and sister who was known for her outgoing social nature and loving personality.

Evelyn enjoyed the simpler things in life like gardening and sitting in the sun soaking up the warm rays with a good draft beer in hand. Evelyn loved vacationing in Florida with her husband Jim who she shared her life, heart, and soul with for 30 years. Evelyn particularly loved spending time with her cherished family, especially during the holidays or during one of the many family gatherings she hosted. Evelyn was a hard worker who dedicated 27 years of her life to working for the Red Jacket Beach Resort. When Evelyn wasn't working you could find her enjoying life in the home she adored and grew up in, or out in the community with her husband doing the things she loved most.

Evelyn is survived by her husband James Yurasits, her son Richard Adam Bunker (wife Ashley), her sister Mary Barr King (Husband Joe), her sister Linda Plantinga (Husband John), her brother Alan Barr (Wife Arlene), her brother Gil Barr (Wife Ruth), and her sister Betty Ebersol. Evelyn is additionally survived by her two grandchildren Layla and Brady, among many nieces- Linny, Colleen (husband Chris), Meaghan, Jennifer, Kim (Husband Tony) and her nephew Gary (Wife Erin) along with two great-nieces Cailyn and Kelsey, and two great-nephews Kyle and Colin.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave, South Yarmouth, MA on Wednesday January 3, 2024, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. A private burial service will be held in Chandler Gray Cemetery.
