Dorothy "Ann" Sircom
Jan 22nd, 2016
Dorothy Ann Sircom of Yarmouth Port, sadly passed away unexpectedly at the age of 74. A life cut all too short. Ann was born in Bethesda Maryland and is pre-deceased by her father Jack Stein and step-mother Molly Stein, her mother Katherine Howes, and step father Pete Howes. Ann married her true love and soul mate, John “David” Sircom in May of 1980. Their love for adventure transcended through the entire family. Her pure joy was the beach which was her absolute favorite getaway. Mayflower Beach in Dennis was her place of peace and solace. Building sandcastles on a Sunday with David was like being taken to a magical world. Christmas was always a special time for her. Traditions meant everything - those which have been passed down from generation to generation. Family meant the world to her and to be surrounded by the ones she loved was her greatest gift. She was a “Disney Mom” who took every opportunity to be with her family. Always a child at heart, no one had a bigger one than her.
She is survived by her devoted husband John “David” Sircom, her sister Margaret “Peggy” Hinkle of Arlington, VA, her brother Peter Stein of Gaithersburg, MD, her four loving children and their spouses, Karin and James Meehan of South Yarmouth, Robert Karras and Allan MacDonald of Orlando FL, Kevin Lynch-Karras and Daniel Lynch of Yarmouth Port, Georgianna and Jeffrey Leonard of Mashpee. She is also remembered by her 11 loving grandchildren Ashley, Casey, Andrea, Joshua, Benjamin, Alexis, Zachary, Elissa, Timothy, Tyler, Matthew, and Jaxson her only great grandchild.
Visiting hours will be held from 3:00 – 6:00pm, Thursday, February 4th in the Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Avenue, South Yarmouth. A service celebrating her life will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Katelynn’s Closet, 33 North Main Street, South Yarmouth, MA 02664.

So very sorry on the loss of such a nice lady. Thoughts and prayers for the family.
We are so sorry to hear of Ann's sudden passing from this life. We fondly remember her constant, positive smile and upbeat advice to us about our own, "new" child- rearing roles. Even though we were both teachers and had the "teenage" realm under wraps. We enjoyed so much seeing her with You, David and the "kids". ! now all fine adults. Such a fwarm family then and still. Sending our prayers for comfort, love and strength As you remember auch a great gift in Ann. Frank & Joyce Fuller
