Anton “Tony” M. Musco of Yarmouth Port, formerly of Queens, NY passed away at home on Wednesday December 13, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was 79 years old and the loving husband of Maureen J. (Cain) Musco. Together, Tony and Maureen celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary in October. He is survived by his two sons, Ryan M., and Christopher J. Musco and their wives Alyson and Brianna along with his cherished grandchildren Gina, Natalie, and Aria.

Born May 21, 1944, in Brooklyn, New York to parents Michael and Beatrice (Bommarito) Musco, Tony is also survived by his brother Clement Musco of Manhattan, New York, brother-in-law Brian Cain of Nashua, NH, and sister-in-law Sharon Kelly of Nashua, NH.

In 1965 Tony entered the Army and attained a rank of Specialist 4 before re-entering civilian life. His passion for working with people was always evident throughout his career and most recently at Whole Foods in Hyannis where he found joy interacting with customers and fellow associates. Tony famously introduced his flannel shirt fashion to his Whole Foods coworkers, many of which adopted the flannel fashion themselves.

Family was the most important aspect of Tony’s life. Over the years he could be found on the baseball field coaching little league or in the team snack bar serving up his famous chili. There was always a seat available in Tony’s van when someone needed a ride home. No one was ever left behind in Tony’s world. He loved traveling to Foxwoods and Las Vegas where you could find him making friends with whomever sat next to him at the roulette wheel. In more recent years, you could find Tony traveling to Connecticut as an honorary member of the St. Philip Parish family where he could be found helping in the kitchen at the Parish Fall Festival. In his downtime he loved spending time with his kids and grandkids at the bowling alley and playing online chess games. He also loved taking his granddaughters shopping, to ride go-carts, and to play mini golf.

Tony’s kindness and generosity shone through in all that he did. He touched the lives of many people beyond his immediate family and his positive spirit was with him until the end.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday December 21 from 4PM – 8PM at Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Avenue, South Yarmouth, MA 02664. A Funeral Mass of Christian burial will take place Friday December 22 at 11AM in St Pius X Church, 98 Station Ave. South Yarmouth. Cremation will follow and his interment with military honors will be held at a later date.

NOTE: A memorial scholarship fund will be created in Tony’s name. Information will be made available in the near future.

My heart is broken to learn of Tony's passing! Years ago, when my boys were Little League players, Tony was there in a very big way! Coaching, Snack Bar Manager, even umpiring I think, along with his boys. Then much to my great surprise, in 2018, when I joined the team at Whole Foods...who was there, TONY! One of the nicest guys I've ever met! My condolences to Maureen and the entire Musco family at this difficult time! You are in my prayers!

I worked at Whole Foods with Tony over the last 9 years & he was one of my favorite coworkers. Always had a smile, would sometimes call me “doll” which though anachronistic I simply loved, & as a worker he would run circles around younger workers. He loved the peppadew dip from my cheese department & I relished telling him when a batch had been made . This Christmas I will be eating some in his honor. Tony was an amazing gentleman & work won’t be the same without him.

Dearest Maureen and entire family, Words can not express how much Tony was loved and respected by the endless amount of family and friends who were fortunate to have shared the love and friendship we were blessed with. Tony was such a devoted husband, father, and grandfather and it certainly showed when all the kids surrounded him with laughter and love !!! Tony had such an incurable laugh and positive energy that will be sorely missed. Maureen, please know we are here for you
