Phyllis Anitra DiCapua passed away on September 30, 2023 at the age of 94. She graduated from Marshall College in West Virginia in 1950 with a Music and Speech degree and was an active theater member. After retiring as an elementary and music teacher in Connecticut, she moved to Harwich with her husband and worked for the Elder Services of Cape Cod Meals-on-Wheels program.

Phyllis was an avid reader and music lover. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family and singing. She shared her beautiful alto voice enthusiastically performing with the Chatham Chorale for over 30 years.

She is survived by her daughter Pam DiCapua and son-in-law, Jim O’Connor of Sandwich, MA; son Ralph DiCapua and daughter-in-law, Marie Pace of Storrs, CT; son Chas DiCapua and daughter-in-law, Laura Fasano of Hardwick, MA. Devoted and cherished “Grammy” to Aaron Crosby of Escalante, UT and Rachael O’Connor of Sandwich, MA. Niece Kathryn Geddie and husband Steven of Sunnyvale, TX, great nieces Jana and Shanon. Cherished friend Lena Pace of Storrs, CT. She was predeceased by her husband Arthur DiCapua, parents Clarence and Marion Arms, brother Murlin Arms and sister Priscilla Barnes.
