Mary Elizabeth Giardino, 66, passed away on September 26, 2023.  She was the only daughter of Edward and Katherine (Hallisey) Giardino.  She is survived by her brothers, Edward, Robert, John and Thomas and predeceased by her brother Kevin.  Mary was formerly married to Donald Arthur and later to Roy Chase.
 
Mary moved to West Yarmouth from Brockton with her family in 1971.  In 1975 she graduated from Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School in South Yarmouth. At the age of 15 she began working in the family business, Giardino’s Family Restaurant, retiring after 34 years.  She was known for her fashion, love of the sun and fun as well as spending time in Florida, the Dominican Republic and the Bahamas. Her special love was her little buddy, Gino. Mary will be missed by her family and many pals. Sadly she lost her struggle with alcoholism.  As they say in AA “Keep coming”.
 
The Giardino family will celebrate Mary’s life with a private memorial service.

To Mary's family, sorry for your loss. Come to Me God saw you were getting tired, And a cure was not to be, So he put his arms around you, And whispered, "Come to Me." With tearful eyes we watched you, And saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, We could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, Hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.
