James Neil McPhee, 85, of Yarmouth Port and Naples Florida. Formerly Quincy, Dorchester and Roxbury passed away peacefully on August 18, 2023. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts on December 25, 1937, to the late Joseph and Elizabeth (McVarish) McPhee.
James enlisted in the Unites States Army in 1957 and received an honorable discharge to complete his service commitment to his country in the National Guard until 1962. He then worked for American Telephone and Telegrapher Company (AT&T) until his retirement in 1999. He was a longstanding member of the Communications Workers of America (CWA), Moose Lodge of South Yarmouth, Elks of Quincy, and the John P. McKeon Post of Dorchester. Additionally, Jim was an avid golfer enjoying many rounds of golf at Bass River and Bayberry as a member of the Retired Men's Club of Cape Cod as well as Glenn Eagle Golf and Country Club in Naples Florida. He was also a devoted New England Patriots and Red Sox enthusiast.
Survived by his wife of 54 years, Kathleen (Kuers) McPhee, his daughter Danielle and husband Patrick Foss of Farmington Connecticut, his son Joseph and fiancé Janine Trinque of West Yarmouth, and grandchildren Megan and Cole Valentine. Jim is preceded in death by his siblings, Frances, Mary (Jackie) Norman, Joan, James, Theresa Howe, Anne Fitzgerald, Francis (Joe) and Josephine (Phene) Nolan.
Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 8, 2023 at Saint Pius X Church, Station Avenue, South Yarmouth at 11:00am followed by the committal services at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Avenue, Bourne, Massachusetts at 1:45 pm. A celebration of life luncheon will follow at 2:30 pm at Bucatino Restaurant & Wine Bar on 7 Nathan Ellis Highway, North Falmouth, Massachusetts.

I have such wonderful memories from when I came to visit and stay with you and uncle jimmy he and you were so welcoming uncle jimmy was so fun loving my mom always told wonderful stories of uncle Jimmy and that he was her baby he will be deeply missed and hold special memories close to my heart may he rest in peace
