Yvette M. Cove

Yvette M. Cove, 90, passed away peacefully Sunday May 21, 2023 to join her beloved husband Robert Cove. Born in Rumford Maine, to Alban J. and Helena M. (Arsenault) Maillet, Yvette was one of 8 children in this tightly knit Maillet family. She spent most of her life in Worcester and Springfield before retiring to Yarmouth. No matter how she felt, Yvette enjoyed the small things in life; watching the sunset, planting her summer flowers and sitting down to read a good book. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and showed them all unconditional love. She enjoyed her lunch visits with her sisters and sister-in-law as well as outings with her Cape Cod friends. Yvette had a talent and passion for sewing and decorating from an early age and worked with many decorator’s across the state as a custom drapery seamstress. Helping her children decorate their homes brought her great joy and she was forever decorating her own.
She leaves three children, Debra Calvanese and her husband Al, Longmeadow, MA, Steven Cove and his wife Karen, Leicester, MA, and Gary Cove and his wife Michelle, Wilbraham, MA; grandchildren Michael Calvanese, North Hampton, NH, Anna Calvanese Pooya, Murphy, Texas Jenna Cove Jaynes, Worcester, MA, Chelsea Cove, Leicester, MA, Brandon Cove, Stafford, CT., Nate Minchella, Boston, Isabella Minchella, Wilbraham and 2 great grandchildren, Franco and Tanner. She also leaves her sisters Carmen Dion, Grafton, MA, Delma Ethier and her husband Edward, Marlboro, MA, brother Donald Maillet and his wife Lorraine, Millbury, MA, sister-in-law Judy Maillet, Auburn, MA, brother-in-law Veto Filipkowski, Millbury, MA and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends, especially life long friends Jeannie and Robert Sampson.
She is predeceased by her sisters Jeannine Maillet, Claudette Filipkowski, brothers Louis, Paul Maillet and brother in- law Richard Dion.

A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday June 1 at 11:00 AM at North American Martyrs Church, 8 Wyoma Drive Auburn. A calling hour will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 in the church before the start of mass. Memorial Contributions can be made to Elder Services of Cape Cod and the Islands by going to their website or The Yarmouth Port Library- mail directly to the library at 297 Main St Yarmouth Port, MA 02675; please include her name.

So sad that another of the beautiful and talented "Maillet" sisters has left us. Each one that leaves causes a sadness and emptiness in our hearts. Will always enjoy the free concerts at the Cape with you, Red and Claudette. Miss you but say hello to our loved ones when you see them. Love, Veto
