Our sincere condolences. We will miss Dick working on his lawn, sometimes with a grandchild and most times without. We will miss him playing, mostly in the summer when the windows are open and the sound would carry. I really enjoyed the day that Dick was driving my Z3 and showing me places all around Yarmouth. Johnny will miss the long conversations that they would have across the fence. I think, especially, about how to grow grass and neither could. We could always spot Dick around town in his blue truck.

Marie, and to the entire family. I was the luckiest guy in the world to be asked by Andy Troyanos to play drums for "Naked Jazz" at "The Black Rock" for almost 8 years. Dick's wonderful playing, friendship, wide smile, all filled my life, and whenever he was on a gig over these many years, it always was a great night. He's known for his bari, but I deeply remember his soulful playing his wonderful soprano sax, especially on Poinciana...I still hear his beautiful music as I remember a deeply loving man. May God keep you all in the soft palms of His hands, and give you great peace in your hearts.

On behalf of the Stage Door Canteen Big Band we offer our most sincere condolences. Dick was a valuable member of our band for many years. He was an inspiration to the young musicians as well as the most experienced. Dick always looked to improve his playing and improvisation skills pushing us all to be better musicians. We miss his humor on bandstand and his big Bari Sax sound. We will remember him fondly. May he Rest in Peace. Roger Gamache Music Director

I would not be half the musician I am now if it wasn't for Dick. He gave me the push I needed many years ago and I will always be grateful for his guidance in music and in life. He will be remembered for many years in all the stories his musician friends have of that great guy. Sending my condolences to Marie and the family, Glen Carliss

Marie, Michelle, Michael and Mark, We are so very sorry for your loss. If it wasn’t for Dick’s enthusiasm encouraging Bob to introduce himself at a family wedding, we would have never met or been married for 50 years. We will miss the good ole days of Dick and Bob sharing many stories filled with laughter and joy of their years playing together on so many numerous occasions. The music world here on earth will never be the same without Dick and his horns, but Heaven will have a loving angel playing his music for all to hear. May his spirit and memories remain in your hearts forever. Debbie and Bob
