Lois was born in Westerly, RI on February 11,1925. She attended school in Westerly and graduated from Westerly High School in 1943. She received an Associate’s Degree from Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School on June 14, 1946.
After graduation, Lois worked for Narragansett Electric Company where she met her future husband Harold. After having her two children, the family was transferred to Massachusetts where they lived and raised their children in Topsfield.
Lois was an avid gardener, raising vegetables and beautiful flowers and mowing her lawns until her late 80’s. She held many volunteer positions in the community, actively involved in the First Congregational Church of Topsfield, Council On Aging, Danvers State Children’s Hospital, Girls Scouts, the Topsfield Fair, and teaching Sunday School.
Lois loved children and her grandchildren were the center of her world, spending time with her for weekends or weeks in the summer at “Grammy Camp”. She was very proud of their accomplishments and would brag any chance she got.
Lois had a particularly sunny personality and a kind heart, talking to anyone, anytime, anywhere, about anything. She was an avid sports fan, following the Local sports teams especially the Patriots and the Red Sox.
She would always lend a helping hand to a friend, neighbor or stranger. None who met her did not like her. We will miss her smile and her laugh and her happy soul.

I am so sorry to have missed the services for Auntie Lois. I think about her often - how she and my mom and dad were all such good friends. I have such fond memories of doing craft shows with her and my mom! I'm sorry for your loss. I'm sure it's a big void.
My dear friend Lois, how I miss you. I think of you every morning when I have my first cup of coffee. I miss our early morning chats and the laughs we would have. You were a great lady and I am so grateful to have known you. I know you are laughing and dancing with your sweet husband in heaven. This is not goodbye my friend. This is until we meet again. Love you Lois!
