John (Jack) D. Wynn, 88, of South Yarmouth, MA, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, surrounded by his family. Jack enjoyed a very full life. He was a veteran, a career business executive, an avid gardener, and a tinkerer. His favorite role, however, was being a father. He loved nothing more than spending time with his family. Jack was born in Worcester, MA. He graduated from The College of the Holy Cross and went on to receive his Masters in Business from Boston College. Thereafter, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and trained to be a pilot. Upon discharge, he started his career at Pratt and Whitney Aircraft in East Hartford, CT, advancing to Chief Purchasing Manager until retirement.

Jack sailed from New England to the Bahamas; skied the world; enjoyed golfing with family; and was always up for a scenic road trip. You could often find Jack puttering around the yard or solving various mechanical challenges. He is survived by his three children, Nancy E. Wynn and husband Robert B. Dennis, of Amesbury, MA; Kelly Wynn Burns and husband Steven J. Burns, of West Hartford, CT; and John D. Wynn Jr. and partner Christine E. Gerber, of Quincy, MA. He is also survived by his sister, Carol Foley, of South Yarmouth, MA, and his former wife, Catherine E. Wynn, of Manchester, CT. He was a loving grandfather to Michael J. Burns and Stephen M. Dennis, and a loving uncle to Charles (Chip) Foley.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, May 27, 11 a.m. at Saint Pius X Church in South Yarmouth, MA. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to consider donating to your favorite charity in Jack’s name.
