Claire S. Larson, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on March 9, 2023. Born and raised in Hopedale, MA; she was the daughter of the late Carl and Florence Adams. She was the wife of 67 years to William F. Larson.

Besides her husband, Claire is survived by her son Wayne Larson and his partner Nancy Rondeau and her daughter Jennifer Larson and her partner Thad Soltys. She is also survived by her granddaughter Marissa Porciello and her fiancé James Conn and her great-granddaughter Gianna Conn. Additionally, Claire is survived by her nieces Audrey Williamson and Elaine McCrabb and her nephew Brian Foss. Claire was predeceased by her sister Shirley Foss, her daughter Cynthia Porciello, and her son Jeffrey Larson.

After graduating from Hopedale High School in 1951, Claire earned her Bachelor’s degree in education at UMass Amherst in 1955. She taught second grade for one year and then became a home maker, raising a family of four while volunteering for Milford Hospital, American Rd Cross, Salvation Army, Meals on Wheels, and her church.

A private graveside service and celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America or to a charity of your choice in Claire’s memory.
