Maybelle Ruth Auclair
Feb 13th, 2023
It is with profound sadness that the family of Maybelle Ruth Auclair announce her passing on February 13, 2023 in Sandwich, MA.
Maybelle was born to Ruth and Edward Lonergan in East Dedham, Massachusetts, where she grew up as one of 6 children. She later met and married her husband, Armand Joseph Auclair of West Roxbury, and raised her family in Foxboro, Massachusetts.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 70 years, Armand, her children: Linda and Paul McCarthy, Kathleen and Brian Thomas, and Armand and Sally Auclair. She will also be dearly missed by her 7 grandchildren: Jennifer Schleppy, Heather Auclair-Welch, Kristen Thomas-Ouellette, Melanie Knarr, Sean Thomas, Caitriona Brannigan, and Brendan McCarthy, as well as her 7 great grandchildren: Lyla, Bree, Tessa, Nicholas, Grace, Luke, and Avery.
Maybelle was a well-loved and well-known member of her community, and made many lasting connections with those she met while completing her daily routines.
She enjoyed many adventures over her years of traveling and exploring the country by motorhome with her husband, Armand, and their toy poodle, Misty. Her passions included her grandchildren and great grandchildren, sharing her recipes, meeting and greeting new friends, Bingo, and watching the New England Patriot games.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the nurses and staff at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis and McCarthy Care Center in Sandwich for their outstanding care and compassion.

Dear Linda, Kathy and Armand, Grace and I send our deepest condolences to you and your families. What a wonderful character we have lost and such a sense of humor! We kept in touch with her all these years and she was like my second mom. We shall miss her commentary on Facebook and her periodic messages. I have such fond memories of growing up around her in Maine and on Sandy Neck. She will be missed.
