William (Bill) Howes Eldridge Jr, 72, of West Yarmouth, passed away peacefully on January 25th, 2023 in Harwich, Massachusetts.
Bill was born in South Yarmouth, MA as the first child of Rachel & William Eldridge on January 24th 1951. As a child, Bill enjoyed spending his summers at their families summer cottage on Nauset Beach with his nine siblings. He attended Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School and was the captain of the soccer team his senior year, graduating in 1969. Shortly after graduation, Bill enlisted in the Army, and was stationed in Panama as a Military Police Officer. He was Honorably Discharged after two years. He worked as a master carpenter for most of his life specializing as an interior finish carpenter, and later worked as an architect. Bill was a man of many talents, who enjoyed spending time with his family fishing, camping, and watching the Patriots.
He was the loving husband of the late Tammy Maziarz-Eldridge for 33 Years. They had two children together. Bill is survived by his mother Rachel M. Eldridge; brothers Daniel, Thomas, and Peter Eldridge; sisters Vicki Balboni, Beverly Williams, and Susan Baker; His three children Ashley da Cruz, Rachel Eldridge, and Nathan Eldridge; as well as his 10 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Tammy Maziarz-Eldridge, his father William Eldridge Sr., and brothers Mark, Timothy, and Robert Eldridge.
Visiting hours will be held at Hallett Funeral Home in South Yarmouth, MA on Saturday, February 4th from 10-12. A graveside service will follow at Swan Lake Cemetery, 397 Depot Street, Dennisport MA.
