Arleen S. Halloran (Riley) age 96, died unexpectedly on December 28, 2022. She was the devoted wife of the late Lawrence P. Halloran of Waltham, MA, a firefighter, and WWII Navy Veteran. She is survived by her three sons and their wives, Lawrence and Judy Halloran of Yarmouth Port, MA, Brian and Lori Halloran of Jamestown, RI, and Charles and Joanne Halloran of Millis, MA. She also leaves eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Arleen was born in Waltham, MA. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Waltham in 1941. In 1949 she married Larry Halloran. She was the youngest of nine, and Larry was the oldest of nine. They both came from grand Irish Families, and they lovingly raised three sons together.

Arleen was an avid reader, she also enjoyed painting, walking and nature. She had a passion for travel, touring the U.S. and Europe extensively. Her sharp mind and congenial wit made for laughter and joy for those around her. She was a loving mom, and an adoring grandmother.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2023, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave, South Yarmouth. A private burial will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023, in Waltham.

I would like to offer my sincere condolences to all of Arleen's family. She was a warm gracious lady with a quick wit and love of her family. I am sure they all have many wonderful memories of her and I pray they find comfort and much blessings from them.
