Robert D. Sullivan
Nov 22nd, 2022
Robert “Sully” Sullivan, 81, of S. Yarmouth passed away peacefully and unexpectedly on Tues. Nov. 22, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.
Sully was born and raised in Peabody, son of Daniel and Victoria Sullivan and worked as a foreman for Gloucester Eng. for 33 years.
He loved all sports, especially his cherished New England Patriots, along with the Red Sox, Bruins, and his favorite college teams Notre Dame and Boston College.
In Peabody he coached girls and women’s softball for 25 years with the recreation dept.
Following his retirement, he relocated to Cape Cod where he and his wife got involved with the golf community and enjoyed and loved all the friends he made on the Cape. He and his wife spent many winters in Florida where they made another group of friends and relationships that last to this day.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years Eleanor (Masino), his daughters Kelly Sullivan of Cape Cod, Lori and her husband Todd Baker of New Hampshire, his sister in law Ann Crane, a life long friend Marge Leonard, his devoted Patriot Pals Michael Perham and Jim Morsett, several nieces, nephews and cousins who were very dear to him. Last but not least his beloved granddog “Bailey” who he walked every day come rain or shine and all other animal friends.
A small service of family and friends will take place in Peabody at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in his memory can be made to a charity of your choice or any animal shelter or rescue league.

Dad, we always knew you were kind, funny, silly, loyal, but hearing these tributes, solidify it. Thank you to everyone's memories. He was my Dad, and I will miss him everyday. Thank you all again. Lori
Eleanor and family, We are so sad for this great loss. I already miss waving to him from my deck, & hearing him call to Bailey. I always enjoyed chatting through the fence, and knowing he always had our backs. I’m holding you all in our hearts and we are here for anything you need! Much love, Katie & Billy Powell
Dear Eleanor and family, Jim and I met Sully in Florida several years ago and looked forward to seeing him each winter. We were very fond of Sully and Eleanor and counted them among our friends. Sully always had a warm smile and time for everyone he met. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you Eleanor. Linda
Bill and I met Eleanor and Sully in Florida. We have been friends ever since. They’re more family to us than friends. We are so saddened by Sully’s passing. Our Florida gang had just visited with Sully and Eleanor to celebrate birthdays at their home in Cape Cod. We will cherish the memories of that visit. Sully was a wonderful, kind and caring man. He had a wonderful sense of humor and always made us laugh. He will be missed by everyone. We love you Sully and will be reunited someday. Until then, rest in peace and we know you’ll be watching from above!!
I will miss visiting with Sully and Bailey at the Gate during his many trips to the "dump". He was a beloved regular, quick with a kind word and a sincere thank you. Sully was a charming patron and a great citizen. May all who loved him be at peace with his passing. With sincere sympathy, Lynn, Gate Attendant

Mike and I met Eleanor and Sully in Florida quite a few years ago. Sully was always there with a smile on his face and a joke or story to tell. Always there to help, cheer you up or keep you company.
