Roy J. Federer, 84, of Yarmouth Port died at his home on Saturday, September 17, 2022.

He was the husband of the late Carolyn Federer, who he had been married to for 52 years.

Born in New York City, Roy was the son of the late Joseph and Paula Federer. Roy moved with his family to Ossining, New York as a child and helped with his family restaurant, The Briars, and then went on to graduate from Boston College. He honorably served in the US Army for two years. After marrying Carolyn, they lived in New York City and then moved to Western Massachusetts where they raised their family and lived for thirty-eight years. He had a successful career in sales and then ran his own local business in direct advertising.

Roy retired with Carolyn to Cape Cod ten years ago to be closer to their grandchildren and family. He enjoyed traveling to Florida in the winter and spending time with his family.

Roy is survived by two sons, Adam Federer and his wife, Tinneil of Yarmouth Port, and Christopher Federer and his wife, Jenna of Walpole; four grandchildren, Michael, Thomas, Daniel, and Emily; and a sister-in-law, Christine Preisser and her husband, Bernard of Ardsley, NY.

Visiting hours will be held from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm on Saturday October 8 in the Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave., South Yarmouth. A prayer service will immediately follow at 2:30 pm.
